Fit Shaming Part II

This just about sums it up! "You shouldn't be fearful of making your body strong! It's a beautiful thing." Please comment below...

  1. Omg she's amazing!!! <3 her! I must have watched this 10 times now it's almost like she has condensed the comments and posts from this blog into a 5 minute video. Validation from a world champion female and its like she's talking to me about the same crap I've experienced- knowing you are more physically gifted than males but being told you can't do it because you are a girl, then when you prove yourself by beating the guys they work to shut you down even more. Notice when she talks about her wrestling career she describes the discrimination girls get exactly how Ace told it in the jitsu in the park thread comments; how treated like joke receiving very little attention or training. And this is like my experience of not being trained by my dad who was only interested in my brothers, it all strikes a chord! She beat a boy in her first match and made him cry and almost got kicked of the team because of it (but carried on beating the boys winning almost all her matches!) when I first beat my big brothers in front of my dad his outrage over it is even now something I feel bitter about. Her account of the wrestler who tried to humiliate her by pulling her sports bra down and her response to beat the crap out of him, oh yes "I will mess you up, respect me" I have incidences like this all the time on the poles!! Everything she says is soo spot on "you want to build your body it's a woman's body not a mans body so how is it going to look masculine?""slap the society out of you""o would like to dispel the myth that muscles are for men they are for women" I bet she could beat the tar out of the men's boxing champ as well... go girl!! <3 Polegirl x

    1. I've watched this a few times now too and each time I agree with what she says. It's amazing why men try to hold women back. I think strong women like her look radiant, gorgeous, confident, beautiful. They look so much alive. But I think that times are changing. People start to realize the potential girls have and girls are getting more and more the same opportunities and attention. Which yields marvelous results as girls shatter the myth that muscles are only for men. It's an outrage that she was threatened to be thrown off the wrestling team just because she was a girl and had just beaten a boy. Luckily, she could stay on the team and beat almost every boy she came up against. She had every right to treat that boy the way she did because he pulled down her sports bra. It was not very respectful. I'm very sorry to hear polegirl that you have similar incidents on the poles, it should not happen and is not very respectful towards you. I hope you treat them the same way as the woman in this clip did.

    15. Such a shame this fit shaming post has degenerated into a slagging match with a troll, I like rafaella’s posts, the subtle hint of a secret amazon mafiosa sorority that she heads and delivers beatdowns to deserving patriarchs intrigues me, is it tongue in cheek or is there something more to it? ;)
Debate is good and some of the chauvinist and male supremacist comments are amusing to say the least! but I am a bit surprised that personal name calling and insults has been allowed to occur. If a man is in a female led relationship and has agreed that his partner has a right to discipline him when he is annoying then that is fine, anyone who is constantly assaulted and physically harmed for minor dismeanors or no reason at all against their will needs to get out of that relationship, and there are plenty of women who will back him up if it indeed does seem that the female is in the wrong. Females fight against oppression and will even defend a weaker man if he is a genuine victim and not just playing at being one. I don’t think the original comment by gnome mage even condoned domestic violence by a woman but was more about how women could prevent domestic violence on them, a very vslid point. Hopefully the trolling will not be allowed to continue. Ace

    16. Thanks for your comments Ace - always great to hear from you. As you know I moderate all comments and whilst I don't allow any that are outright malicious, I don't want to completely stifle dissenting views, because that will stifle debate and then the blog just becomes an echo chamber and that benefits no-one.

I don't see anything that I would class as a slanging match with personal name calling here just yet, but will keep a close eye on it. In any case I have complete confidence that Amazons can argue their case and destroy masculinists verbally as well as physically and I wouldn't want to deny them that opportunity....

    19. As striker points out in another post you guys are constantly pushed to come on top, while we are constantly pushed to be weak. Culture has enforced an unnatural learned submissiveness on women giving them a sense of powerlessness and weakness from persistently not being allowed to succeed. But womens rights movements have started bringing about a very significant change. The stipulation that dominance is innate only to men, while submissiveness to women is wavering women are now asserting their natural dominance over men more and more all the time and enjoying it. Throughout history we have been told that men are superior to women. The development and dominance of women has been and still is suppressed by male chauvinism. But as more and more of us are (re)discovering our capability for immense physical strength and our natural prowess as a warrioress and dominatrix, men have to surrender and give up the only thing that was left for them (though still many won’t admit it) - physical dominance. In many ways, some men (though still the minority) have evolved further into the natural state of being dominated by women than some women are in their desire to be the dominant gender. Women have been brainwashed to capitulate to patriarchal definitions of "femininity". However this is all being turned on its head as superior female muscle power is being re-discovered - Most women only dreamt about what they would enjoy doing to a man if they were only stronger.....now they don't need to have such dreams....because they can do it and like it, girls are stronger.
I guess you men who have yet to awaken to this state, must find it tough to face up to these realities. Where does it leave you? But an awful lot of men are manipulative chauvinists and have treated us like weak second class citizens for too long a time. This is why it is satisfying to take a man down, control him, and force him to concede defeat. It's great, it’s getting even. Xx>>xy Ace

  3. Excellent video, she is spot on!! And its good she also points out fashion discrimination. What she says about skinny models promoting clothing for female athletes is something that also irritates me greatly, a good example of this is the costume polegirl posted in another post, a doctored photo (unfortunately it doesn’t look like its for sale on amazon anymore) worn by a supermodel type and someone posted an untouched picture of the same outfit (http://prowrestling.wikia.com/wiki/Cindy_Huntress/Image_gallery?file=Cindy_Huntress_-_CH8005.jpg) being worn by a wrestler, the original supermodel one no longer is advertised to compare, butI know which picture I prefer both as an advertisement for the outfit and for positive female body image and empowerment!!
And she is so right about jeans!! The only ones that fit are baggy boyfriend jeans, and who wants to wear them! And finding stretch jeans for the booty for muscular women that don’t rip is a nightmare especially on hump day, I have to wear stretchy leggings that resemble jeans. It’s so annoying and totally wrong that clothing companies don’t cater for the amazon athlete almost a subtle way of shaming women into not developing their physique by making clothes that don’t fit them! 4. Just found this article on female jockeys and thought it might be best to mention it in this thread because there's a part which deals with the fit shaming women have faced when entering the (so far) mostly male field of horse racing. It seems that, as usual, men have tried to shame women out of competing, preventing women from being able to show their real strength. But also as usual, when women are able to achieve a level playing field the shaming will become simply a failed tactic to save male egos from getting the bruising they deserve.

    http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/05/opinions/where-are-women-jockeys-derby-hippel-keyes-rutherford-opinion/index.html

A small excerpt: "The more likely culprit is persistent gender discrimination. The best evidence comes from a 1995 study which found that, though women won less prize money than men overall, that happened because women didn't get good horses in good races. In fact, women actually won more money than men who rode similar horses in similar races. Women outperformed men with the opportunities they got, but women didn't get the opportunities they deserved."

    2. Just found this article about a girls' soccer team doing what they do best ... beating the boys' team. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/11/sports/soccer/girls-soccer-team-won-boys-league-spain.html?smid=tw-nytimes&smtyp=cur&_r=1

One quote from the article stands out: “To push these girls, we felt they had to play against boys because you need strong opponents to make real progress." Of course, the real benefit of girls competing with boys is not that the boys are such "strong" opponents, but that the girls realize that they are actually the stronger ones. :)

    4. Some other points also stand out in that article:

1: It's really been more a problem for parents rather than their boys. It's strange, but most of the macho comments and insults have come from the mothers of some of the boys we play.

2: Daniel Rodrigo, the AEM coach, recalled a recent match when the referee asked him before kickoff whether his team had not traveled to the wrong field. During another match, the referee upset the AEM players by regularly referring to them as the princesses while he directed play.

3: The extra money is needed, the officials said, because the Spanish football federation provides little support for grass-roots girls' football.

4: Women have made real progress, which is amazing when you look at the big difference in how the money is allocated. But unequal treatment persists. In youth football, some clubs only use their vehicles to transport their boys; the girls have to fend for themselves.

      Need anyone say more?

... "I'm also finding the women tend to learn the technique much quicker than men and become much better at it than most guys."

...Lismore boxing trainer Arthur Maloney, who trained 2012 Olympic Gold medallist Sally Watts, said he was impressed by the skill level of his female students.

"It's surprising how well these ladies can box compared to the men," he said.

"And boy, what a punch some of them can develop."

Sad to see this site is not updated much any more. I myself have been very quiet with comments after being so busy in work and life.

But its the best site for stuff like this so I posted a link to crossfit women. To me they are the new breed of amazons, fit strong and not scared to take on men in physical activity's. To be honest many of them are built like tanks and have brutal stamina.

Im a big strong guy, but believe if I had to fight many of these women, they could out wait me in the end with stamina, of which me being larger would tell on me. If I did not get in a early victory, I reckon they would in the end over power me.

Amazing to see many women today built like this, this for me is just the start, give it another few decades and I believe women will be regularly beating men in many physical areas.....just like they are in every other walk of life these days.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Thanks for the link JoeM. It's hard to believe that women like the ones in that link were ever unusual. It seems that such physical development in women is becoming more and more common, and along with that is the realization of women's actual superiority in strength and endurance over males. And it's also happening that more males are realizing that such women are to be admired and envied by males. We are discovering our new roles as the acknowledged inferiors of women and we are actually able to enjoy that role as it pleases the women in our lives.

  16. I watched Wonderwoman and, to be honest, I feel quite disappointed. The supposed "symbol of female power" is so unrealistically portrayed it might even discourage girls from discovering what potential is hidden within being a Mistress. In my modest opinion, Haywire is a much more suitable film for encouraging the discovery of Mistresses' potential.
