Proof...as if it were needed, of female superiority.

Watch how the female vaults higher (from a lower base) than her male counterpart...

There is no denying female gymnasts are better than male gymnasts.

A true account.....

The following account was posted on the recently defunct "Experience Project" website. A forum where people share all kinds of real life experiences. As more girls join up with boxing and kickboxing gyms, this kind of incident is becoming more and more common...

I recently had a kickboxing match at my gym with a girl and I lost. I'm very disappointed in myself and feel really embarrassed. I lost in front of my kids and girlfriend. What's upsetting is this girl is new to the sport and she's only been training for a month and I've been doing this for years. What's even more embarrassing is this girl is 18 yrs old and I'm 36 she's half my age. We had a three round exhibition match at our gym I was supposed to just spar with her and correct her in the ring however in round 1 I walked right into one of her kicks and it floored me! I got up too soon and I was still wobbly legged and everyone at the gym was stunned and I didn't have my legs under me yet that she caught me with a second kick to the face and I fell again. This time I took the full 8 count and she almost finished me off in round 1 I had no choice but to retreat and back petal and clinch to survive the round. It was embarrassing my two children who are close in age to this girl had looks of disappointment on their faces. Luckily I was able to regain strength in my legs after the break and I came after her in round 2 no longer was I trying to teach her I was trying to beat her! But she played it safe and fought a smart fight she backed up and got on her bicycle for the next two rounds and avoided my power. We took it to a decision and I lost by a score 28-27 round 1 was scored 10-7 in her favor because of the two knockdowns but I took the next two rounds 10-9 & 10-9 however that first round killed me! When they raised her hand and announced her the winner the look on my children's faces were that of disappointment and my girlfriend stormed out upset. Even though I won 2 of the 3 rounds Briana (girl that beat me) won the fight because of the two early knockdowns. After the fight I shook her hand and congratulated her. But ever since this happened my kids don't want to go back to the gym and neither does my gf.

Barbara Carrera....One of my favourite Badass Bond girls

Very Disappointing....And just not true Raymond....

A subject close to my heart - Tennis: You would think that with the incredible progress women have made in the sport in the last few decades, that it just wouldn't be possible to hear or read opinions like the one shared by Raymond Moore CEO of Indian Wells recently (excerpt below) but unfortunately there are always those who allow themselves to be passed by when it comes to women's progress and those who deep down believe that women shouldn't really be doing sports anyway - the real tragedy is that ignorance of these characters doesn't seem to prevent them from gaining positions of authority. I'm not so much angered by these comments as disappointed. The man has made a fool of himself  with these ill-judged utterances, but for him to proffer such ignorance without a thought for the thousands of girls around the world dreaming of a career in Tennis or their parents who sacrifice so much to make it happen is completely irresponsible. My advice to female tennis players? Disregard this old Dinosaur - the way he has disregarded you!

Prize money has been equal in the men's and women's game for a while now - quite rightly so. Whatever you may think of women's tennis the fact is that Grand Slam tounament prize money in general is derived from ticket sales and the women's and mens draws have the same number of matches - When you buy a ticket, you buy it for a date or time and a specific court - you don't know which players you will be seeing and the likelyhood is, that you will see an equal number of male and female players in action - therefore the prize money needs to be equal.

You can argue that the men play best of 5 sets and women only best of 3, so there is a disparity and I have some sympathy with that view - however I would say that those limitations were set by the powers that be, a long time ago and it is now time to encourage the women players to start playing best of 5, after all there is no physical reason why they shouldn't...is there? In the meantime I still support equal prize money as both men and women players give 100% within the parameters set out for them.

"In my next life when I come back I want to be someone in the WTA, because they ride on the coat tails of the men," Moore said. "They don't make any decisions and they are lucky. They are very, very lucky. If I was a lady player, I'd go down every night on my knees and thank God that Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal were born, because they have carried this sport. They really have."

Another girl sends a man to A&E....

A proper competative clip, posted by Ace in the comments of another thread - but I think it deserves its own thread. This demostrates what can happen to a guy when he is outclassed, but still refuses to tap to a much smaller, but evidently superior girl. Love the still shot below :0 X

Ace: The man is a high grade bjj practioner in a no gi fight against a teen girl, he secures the takedown but can only hold top position for a short while until she sweeps him to his back and it becomes very apparent that for all his skills he is in way out of his depth. The look on his face as she totally controls him and he realises he is going to lose badly to a girl is priceless. But as he struggles I think he annoys the girl and she is mean! at 2.05 after only 2 minutes of combat, she snaps his arm like a dry twig! As he groans in pain she looks concerned, she checks him then gives a little satisfied nod of her head while all the onlookers gape in shocked silence, girl power! Girl victory! Girl dominance! the man is lead from the mat to get medical attention while the ref raises the girls arm in victory, it is a shame her back is to the camera at this point, a very brutal victory by a teen girl over a highly trained bigger man! xx > xy girls beat men girls rule xD Awesome :D

US Girls wrestling - some interesting statistics....

It has ocurred to me that we don't do enough on this blog to champion the efforts of our sisters in the United States, who in many ways are at the forefront of the battle of the sexes. US High school wresting is one of the only sports where girls are officially allowed to compete directly against boys and despite a huge disparity in participating numbers and ongoing discrimination, the teenage girls of America are taking the wrestling scene by storm.

One of our contributors is an ace researcher and she has done some great work collating evidence from official records and the results are pretty spectacular. She recently posted them in a reply to a comment, but I feel these are so important that they really deserve their own post - so please see again below... Let's hear it for our sisters Stateside!!! Enjoy and please let us know your thoughts...

If we look at the results of coed wrestling matches and analyse the statistics, when the results or normalized to scale the disparity in population size we see that girls, 2% of the wrestling population, even with all the gender discrimination they suffer, statistically win 60 matches out of every 100, a clear majority of 60% of the bouts. Going deeper, we see that as match ups being decided by weight divisions and due to the puberty gap where girls go through their growth spurts earlier than boys, quite often the genders compete on a playing field with a significant age gap. Basically there are a significant amount of middle school girls 13 years old or younger in their first or second year of wrestling taking on senior guys, 16, 17, 18 years old…basically young men who have been wrestling for 5 or 6 years. You would expect a senior male wrestler to be able to overpower a girl this age but that's not what happens. The girls win convincingly even against the top talent level, the statistics still hardly change, and the girls crush them! They win most of those matches 59 to 100 59% age gap practically makes no difference!

At the US national level the gender gap gets even wider. On scaling standardization girls win 70% of the time or 93 matches out of 132, 58 (40%) of them pins.

Now here’s where the statistics look even worse for the guys. It was always a fear that in mixed gender bouts the female ran a great risk of being badly injured, however results show that is males who are at greater risk. In a study of 203 mixed gender bouts, 7 ended in reports of injury medical attention for the losing wrestler (including dislocated shoulders and cracked ribs). None of this 7 was female, all the injured were guys. Of the 7 injuries 2 were when senior boys ended up getting wrecked at the hands of junior female wrestlers! To summarise what these stats mean, given equal participation when you take a team of 10 trained female wrestlers against equally trained men you can bet money on at least a 7-3 female victory some of the men will in all certainty be carried off the mat on a stretcher. Train a team of 10 13 year old girl wrestlers and match them against equally trained adult males 6 of the men will loose and again stretchers will be needed. To really hammer the point of female supremacy take a moment to imagine the carnage our squad of 13 year old sisters would inflict upon a group of men who can’t wrestle! Female power unleashed! Put an untrained man against a girl wrestler and he would get hurt bad! Considering how little attention and training and discrimination girl wrestlers get compared to boys the stats show man’s oldest sport is beginning to belong solely in the realms of the female! And now matches where girls as young as 12 demolish senior year boys, 17/18 year olds - men in fact, in less than 30 seconds are becoming more and more frequent and normal. Maybe society should not wonder whether women can compete with men, but question whether due to male inadequacy and frailty if it's unfair to let men even try to 'compete' with the girls.Bottom line, girls rule :D

Some tips on fighting by Amy Schmid

Hello, dear readers. Earlier today a friend of mine sent me a link to an interesting video. Have a look:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmiJyHAWQsA

Apart from the fighting tips, pay attention to Amy's mentality:

Guy: "What if I'm fast?"
Amy: "I 'll be faster"...

It's not just what she says, it also is HOW she says it. Her top-class level of knowledge is obvious... If you have experienced something similar and/or have something else to add or ask, feel free to leave a comment. Thank you for your time.

When did you realise?

We all have different experiences growing up, but most of us are brought up to believe that boys are stronger than girls and men stronger than women. I realised this wasn't true from an early age as virtually every real life situation that I experienced or witnessed hanging out with my sister and her friends ran contrary to this. They were tough, but they weren't tomboys, they just knew they were tougher than the boys in the neighbourhood and they took great delight in demonstrating it at every opportunity. Even older boys were scared of them. So to me this seemed normal after a while and it is hard to identify a specific point of realisation. I do have some interesting experiences e-mailed to me from guys though and I will post one or two of these...

Does anyone else have any stories they would like to share of when they first realised females were actually the stronger sex?

Girls beating up guys in TV and Film

Further to a previous post about a male vs female fight scene in a James Bond film - it got me thinking about how things have changed in the past couple of decades. It is actually very common these days to see depictions of females overpowering or getting the better of males in mainstream TV drama series and films. I'm not quite sure as to why. Maybe it is seen as more entertaining to have an outcome to a confrontation which may be the opposite of what most people expect. Or maybe it is just because there are more female writers who want to change perceptions of female physicality?

Whether it's Agent Lisbon in "The Mentalist" or Siva from NCIS or countless other female characters tackling and arresting male baddies, there seems to be an appetite for this kind of mixed action drama. This is of course most welcome if it encourages more girls to change their views on their own physicality, my only problem with these portrayals is that they are rarely done convincingly.... What I mean by that is that the female characters concerned including the two mentioned above just don't have a convincing physical presence and don't look or act like they could punch their way out of a wet paper bag - therefore the action has to be so overly choreographed and contrived that it doesn't look realistic and ends up just being patronising.

That said, I recently saw a scene which nails it. It was in a drama series called Blacklist. What I could make of the plot is that a male and a female FBI agent were persuing a female assasin who lured her targets by posing as a prostitute and injecting them with deadly chemicals when they were at their most vulnerable. The FBI agents had tracked her down to a hotel where she had just completed a job. The male agent caught up with her in the lift and as he pulled his gun and tried to arrest her, a frantic fight ensued. One of the most convincing M/F fights I've seen on TV. The female assassin was tall - taller than the guy and had a good, powerful looking physique. Despite this the fight was actually quite even as they traded punches and took turns pinning eachother up against the walls of the lift car. Eventually the female's greater strength and skill prevailed. As more of her punches connected than his, the male gradually succumbed as she pressed home her advantage, jumping on his back and executing a choke hold. the male agent collapsed forward under her weight and passed out as she crushed him to the floor. She made good her escape as he lay defeated, motionless.

This was so much more realistic that most of the other M/F fights. Firstly because the female looked physically capable to start with and secondly because the fight wasn't totally one sided - the male FBI agent gave a good account of himself, visibly trying his hardest - but she was just too strong for him. Hollywood - take note. It is perfectly feasible and acceptable for a woman to prevail against a man in a physical fight - You don't have fake it...

More girls need to take up sport - you bet!

I read an article in the Evening Standard yesterday which got my interest. It was basically saying that girls these days need to do more sports in schools - right on I thought to myself, but the reasoning behind the sentiment made me chuckle....Girls need to do more sport...so that they get to experience failure!

The performance of girls in the accademic field is now so consistently high that teachers are worried that they are never exposed to failure and therefore may lack the emotional fortitude to cope with disappointment. The concern seems to be that girls constantly inhabit a win, win, win environment in the classroom, so need exposure to an environment where they will at some point experience what it is to lose - an inherent part of sporting activity.

This can only be a good thing as it will encourage more girls to fulfil their physical potential too! Then it will be win, win, win all the way!!!
